When it's time to rest and return.

Fallow + Floret is a chronic illness doula practice built on presence, partnership, and genuine care. I offer non-clinical, holistic support—emotional, practical, and self-advocacy-based—to people navigating chronic illness and invisible disabilities.

I work from the belief that you are the expert of your own experience. My role is to walk alongside you: holding space for grief, untangling life admin, coordinating care, scripting difficult conversations with providers, and helping you reclaim agency in your own life. The focus is always on you as a person—not on the illness itself.

This practice is shaped by a commitment to collaboration, confidentiality, intersectionality, neurodivergence and LGBTIAQ+ affirmation. I'm here to support you as a whole person—with all your identities, needs, and boundaries honored—without hierarchy or judgment.

Fallow and Floret takes its name from the agricultural cycles of rest and blooming—a reflection of chronic illness itself, and of the possibility for restoration and growth even within ongoing complexity

What is a Chronic Illness Doula?

A doula is a companion. While doctors focus on the disease, a doula focuses on the person. As a Chronic Illness Doula, I provide non-clinical, holistic support to help you navigate the physical, emotional, and systemic challenges of living with a long-term health condition.

How I Support You:

  • The Emotional Bridge: I provide a safe, confidential space to process the grief, anger, and confusion that comes with chronic illness, ensuring you don't have to carry the emotional weight alone.

  • The Advocacy Partner: I help you navigate the medical industrial complex. From scripting your needs for a dismissive provider to helping you organize your medical history, I help you reclaim your agency in the exam room.

  • The Practical Scaffold: I assist in the "reconfiguration" of your life—helping you coordinate care with your support network and finding sustainable ways to exist in a world not built for your brain or body.

Why Work With Me?

My qualifications are rooted in lived reality of my own journey. As a late-diagnosed AuDHD woman and a long-term navigator of chronic illness, I have spent years mastering the "invisible work" of survival. Combined with my background in Information Science, public librarianship, healthcare, customer service and art, I offer a unique blend of systemic knowledge and deep, personal empathy. I don't operate from as an expert, but as a companion beside you.
